200 OK Web Server

Web Server for Chrome migration

Keep serving with 200 OK

Google has ended support for the original Chrome App. Its successor is generally available, but setup now has two clear parts: a server app for your platform and a Chrome extension for browser launch and control.

The old Chrome App no longer works on current Chrome and can be removed now. Set up 200 OK separately for the device you plan to use.

1. Install the server for your device

We will put the detected option first. Every supported route remains available below.

Install the desktop server

Download the signed desktop app. It serves your folder; the extension can then launch it and show server status in Chrome.

2. Add the 200 OK extension

The extension is the browser launcher and controller; it does not contain the web server by itself.
